Music Exams - ANZCA and AMEB

As a student of Dreamquest we highly recommend that you undertake singing examinations to facilitate the refinement and improvement of your singing talent.

As a contemporary or classical singer, yearly or twice yearly examinations give you a benchmark to work towards, ensuring that you remain focused on your goals and get the maximum value for money from your lessons. We prepare students for practical and theory examinations through ANZCA and AMEB.

ANZCA

The Australian and New Zealand Cultural Arts Limited is a non-profit examining body of the performing arts. It was formed in response to a growing need amongst music teachers for an examination system catering for a greater diversity of musical styles.

In recognizing the vital role modern music plays, especially amongst the young, ANZCA has set out to design its syllabi to cater for both classical and modern streams. All aspects of the syllabi, including scales, aural tests, sight reading and improvisation, have been arranged in a logical sequential order with due regard to the educational merit underlying each requirement.

AMEB

The AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) conducts examinations in music and speech education. Its accreditation is recognised professionally not only within Australia but also overseas, where it is one of the most respected bodies in this field. The syllabuses are reviewed and developed in direct consultation with the people who use our examination system, and written by leading teachers and performers.

AMEB offers:
