I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. From my years of experience in the music industry as an international performer, recording artist, session musician and vocal coach, I'd have to say that most singers have an extremely overrated view of their talent.

Have a think for a moment about the Idol talent shows on TV. Remember how many singers on this show became a laughing stock because of their appalling voices and stage presentation.

The scary thing however is that these singers actually believed they were good! Most were shocked to find out they didn't pass the audition - they stood there looking dazed and confused while the judges laughed their heads off.

After you pay for the Certificate of the qualification you wish to attain you will need to submit the required number of songs. If you wish to be qualified for Certificate I or Certificate II you can submit your songs either on CD or DVD. If you wish to be qualified for Certificate III or Certificate IV you must submit your performance on DVD.
Choose songs that are suitable for your current level of skill. You'll need to perform these songs with either good quality backing tracks, a band or an instrumental player such as a guitarist or a pianist. You can even accompany yourself if you play an instrument.
It's important that we can hear your voice above the music. Do a soundcheck first to get the right level of vocals to music. If you are submitting your songs via DVD we recommend that you use a camera with a tripod and make sure the lighting is adequate.
If you are completing Certificate III or Certificate IV dress to impress! You will be judged on your stage attire and presentation as well as your singing.
