How to Enrol in Singing Lessons - Three Easy Steps

We'll have a friendly chat with you about your musical background, the style of music you listen to and the goals and dreams you have as a singer. If you are under the age of 18 we will need to speak to a parent or legal guardian.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an accomplished pro it's important that you feel comfortable with choosing the right teacher. If you have any queries about our teaching program or our teachers please feel free to ask.

2. Reserve your weekly lesson spot

Click here to see a map showing our Melbourne studio or our Central Coast studio. Please arrive at your allocated lesson time promptly, leaving plenty of time for traffic snarls or unforseen events. You will need to bring;

Payment to cover your term fees and syllabus
A blank cassette tape or iPod to record your lesson
A backing track or sheet music to a song of your choice
Remember to wear loose, comfortable clothing.

The student syllabus - as pictured below - will help you get the maximum value from your lessons and progress to the best of your ability.

At your weekly lesson your teacher will give you performance coaching on a song of your choice. You may bring sheet music or backing tracks for this purpose. We have a catalogue of over 21,000 high quality backing / karaoke tracks for you to choose from with styles ranging from pop to classical.

Knowing that you can expect to notice a real change from your very first lesson, it's important that you continue to focus on your goals for the duration of your training.

Please remember that if you have picked up bad habits or have learnt faulty singing technique from an inexperienced or unqualified teacher, it can take time to retrain your body to use the correct method of voice production. Your regular attendance in class every week along with our instruction will help you achieve your dreams.

To ensure you get the best value for money out of your lessons we instruct you to study the student syllabus in between each lesson and spend 20 - 30 minutes a day singing along to the Absolute Singing Mastery CD. You can also expect to progress further by listening to the BodySense CD several times a week.

Some important information...

Due to the popularity of our classes, only limited vacancies are available and waiting periods may apply at certain times. Please be assured that if you put your name down on the waiting list we will contact you the moment a suitable vacancy arises.

Our students are noted for their courtesty. A minimum of 48 hours is required to reschedule lessons (with the exception of sudden illness or emergency). Students who disregard our attendance policy may forfeit enrolment with the academy.

For celebrity and other clients anonymity is assured as we do not release students names for publicly or promotional purposes unless with express written permission.
