- Melissiah
Melissiah
began playing the piano at the age of five and continued
her studies until she had mastered the classical
repertoire. Her early experiences with music teachers
gave her an insight into the possiblilties of creating
a more effective method of teaching.
At an early age Melissiah was a member of many bands
and music ensembles, ranging in style from folk
to metal. Over the years a passion for song writing
and singing culminated in the release of her debut
album "Haunted" which she wrote, recorded and produced
in 1994. Her talent as a piano bar performer has
also resulted in many solo performances and residencies
throughout Australia and Asia. Melissiah is also
in demand as a session musician. Her previous album
credits include: Haxaw - Plain as the Sky; The McQuades
- Dissatisfaction; New Reign - Change of Weather;
Girl Zone 2 (compilation); Cryptal Darkness- They
Whispered you had Risen. She has also performed
on the same bill with artists as diverse as Vanessa
Amorosi, Deborah Conway and Wendy Rule.
Along
with her extensive live and recording experience,
Melissiah is also highly qualified. Even before
she completed a Graduate Diploma of Music at Melbourne's
La Trobe University, and an Associate Trinity College
London in Voice, she began a quest to create the
world's most effective teaching method for singers.
More than 15 years of study, research and teaching
have combined to produce VoicePower - a system of
training so effective that student's results are
